My story with fusion and how I cope At 24yrs old I was in an accident. The Dr.s waited a full year before fusion L4-L5. I can walk around the block now before I could not I suffered for a year on tons of meds praying for the pain to stop know I am six weeks out of surgery in less pain and titrating off all the meds. If I could do it over I would have pushed for surgery with a neurosurgeon quicker instead of letting people shuffle me through phony treatments and giving me tons of opiates.
